At the heart of the British countryside lies a unique opera experience.

Clonter Opera Theatre captures the drama and glamour of a night at the theatre but with a twist – combining performances with a 70 minute supper interval, all in a converted barn in Cheshire, North West England.

This delightfully quirky venue contains a 400 seat auditorium with adjoining bar and dining areas; offering the option of formal dining, ready made canapé baskets or you can bring your very own interval feast to be eaten at an indoor picnic table.

Clonter also has its own highly regarded residential opera studio which is a springboard for up and coming opera stars to gain further experience and work with top music and stage directors. See those stars now as they embark on their opera career – a list of past performers reads like a 'Who's Who' of some of the biggest names in opera today.

THE CLONTER APPEAL

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO TOOK PART THE BIG GIVE CHRISTMAS CHALLANGE £33,000 of Pledge funds and matching donations was raised + £14,000 in un-matched donations and Gift Aid. It was a VERY tough challenge week but you still managed to raise a staggering £47,000.

Clonter's 2012 season starts with the excitement of the Opera Prize, the only opportunity for nominated singers, from the UK's leading conservatoires, to go head to head competing for a prize of £2,000
