As part of a regular community and education programme Clonter offer a series of workshops to school children aged 8 -18.

Activities include:
PERFORMANCE PROJECTS
JANUARY - MARCH
Tailor made Performance Projects enable schools to write, design, compose and perform short musical pieces. The Performance Day includes a costume design workshop.
PLATFORM CONCERTS
THURSDAY 8 & THURSDAY 15 MARCH
Primary school choirs are invited to try out and develop their performance skills in a non competitive and supportive environment.
DRESS REHEARSAL OF HANSEL & GRETEL
THURSDAY 19 JULY
Sung in English - suitable for GCSE music & Drama and students, including University of the Third Age
COSTUME DESIGN WORKSHOP
THURSDAY 19 JULY
One hour before Dress Rehearsal. Budding designers can get to know all the characters in the opera and design a costume for their favourite character. The designs will be exhibited during the interval.
MUSICAL THEATRE DAYS
SEPTEMBER 11-20
Action packed workshops involving a musical workshop, set and lighting design and a variety show at the end of the day with excerpts from opera,operetta and musical theatre.

Total number of participants in 2010’s Education Programme was 1545 children from 29 different schools and 701 adults.
