Andrew Brunt is a splendid lecturer, who is not only erudite and informative, but very entertaining.

Portraits tell us about individual men and women, their desires and expectations, their position and their society. Our examples will range from kings to servants, from babies to the very old. In the first session we shall look at painted and sculpted portraits from the ancient world to
the 17th century and our second session brings us from the 18th century to the present day.
