OPERA PRIZE
Saturday 31st January 2009 7.15pm
The UK's major conservatoires nominate their most promising singer to compete in the
Opera Prize.
The winning singer receives a cheque for £2,000 and the runner-up receives £500.
For the first time this year the nominees will sing all 3 of their chosen arias
before the interval. The judging panel and audience then have the opportunity to
discuss and vote for their favourite singer during the supper interval.
The winner of the audience vote will receive a magnum of champagne, the
audience's favourite also counts as one vote towards the final result.
This really is your opportunity to hear the stars of the future.
Supper served during a 70 minute interval, alternatively guests may book an indoor picnic table and bring a picnic.
