After the success of last year's Gala evening, Geoffrey Saunders returns to direct a
highly talented young cast. This year's performance will include excerpts from The Magic Flute,
Don Giovanni, Carmen and La Bohème.
The cast provide a good selection of newcomers to Clonter
audience. We are delighted that Denise Leigh, from Stoke-on-Trent, makes her debut at Clonter,
following her success earlier this year in Channel 4's 'Operatunity' programme.
Our 2003 Opera Prize winner, Kate Royal, returns to Clonter, for her first staged performance
along with baritone Christopher Dixon and mezzo Louise Reitberger.
Tenor, Gordon Wilson returns, having sung the role of Alfred in Die Fledermaus 11 years ago.
