CLONTER OPERA PRIZE
Saturday 22nd January 2005 7.15pm
Running long before Channel 4’s ‘Operatunity’ programme, this evening previews the latest opera talent, from the major conservatoires of Britain, competing for a prize of £1500, decided by an expert judging panel.

As well as promising to be a night of inspiring music, the Opera Prize offers a unique opportunity for audience interaction, as they will vote for their own favourite singer. The audience’s vote counting as one nomination towards the final result, and their winner then goes on to receive a magnum of champagne.

Past winners, who have gone on to glittering international careers include Jonathan Lemalu and Camilla Tilling, who have both sung principal roles at the Royal Opera House.

Supper served during a 70 minute interval, alternatively guests may book an indoor picnic table and bring a picnic.
